People’s Archive of Bidar - Bidar Heritage Center | 2017 - Ongoing

BHC houses people’s archives of Bidar and aspires to become a learning museum. It departs from the conventional imagination of a museum that tends to fossilise history, rely upon expert-driven curations, and restrict access by copyright protected collections, towards recognising the need to incorporate cultural, Institutional and social history of the place to:
- Creating ways for the residents to remember, reconnect and renarrate their inherited legacies;
- Sensitise people to Police history, its evolution and humanised facets of police department and other institutions in Bidar;
- Resource centre for local residents, young scholars and regional universities alike to learn, add and expand various historical aspects of Bidar;
- Recognize local collectors as ‘Citizen curators' of public history and memory.
