The Dalapathi Tradition of Bidar, Karnataka | Sahapedia-UNESCO Fellowship 2017

This fellowship was received by our maintainer/network member/Director Eeshita Kapadiya. Eeshita’s proposed inquiry was to look at the evolution of the village/community police system(The Dalapathi tradition) and highlight the community-centric ideals it represents as well as its relationship with the urban police system in Bidar. 

An audio-visual documentary of Dalapathi’s personal histories through audio-enhanced storytelling around photographs collected from local collectors and community members was produced as the deliverable.
