Team YUVAA

TEAM YUVAA is a voluntary, not for profit NGO started by a group of like-minded and progressive graduates with specialization in different skill-sets who came together and floated the idea of bringing in positive changes in themselves and in the society. We are based in Bidar District of Karnataka. Our team comprises of 45 active members and more than 125 members voluntarily supporting the idea from different corners of the country and abroad. There are no employees in TEAM YUVAA. The members are themselves qualified and willing to contribute their time and energy for the cause. Our members are carefully selected from different walks of life and various professional fields.
The organization is recognized for its remarkable contributions to the discovery, documentation, and preservation of ancient water bodies and water management systems in Bidar. Our most notable works include the discovery of a 600-year-old well in the village of Hamilapur and the restoration of the 14th-century Naubad Karez water system. They have also been actively involved in rejuvenating old wells and lakes, in response to severe drought conditions in the region. They were awarded the Karnataka State Rajyotsava Prashasti for their social service in 2016. Apart from their environmental and heritage projects, Team YUVAA has also taken part in relief efforts during the COVID-19 pandemic as part of a coalition task-force headed by the district administration.
