The workshop will build on the ongoing ‘Co-creating local knowledge networks: A women-centric approach through local music, songs, folklore and dance’ project supported by the Association for Progressive Communications. The project employs COW Mesh network and open-source archival technologies to collaboratively record and annotate, with women and non-binary communities, the cultural and traditional knowledge forms of oral stories/folklores/songs, as well as collect representative images, objects and other narratives that augment the voice stories.
We will appropriate existing voice based tools--such as voice enabled content production, annotation and search, and voice fragment to image and voice to text annotations--and the COW Mesh network developed by Janastu.
